The One Off Makery workshop is located on a remote bush property in Pappinbarra, NSW, and runs on solar power and rain water. It has facilities for sewing, painting, sculpting, metalwork, woodwork and other construction, and a large collection of salvaged and natural materials to draw from. Professional construction for performance is under way for much of the year, in a 7x7m indoor workshop with a 6m high roof, and a covered outdoor space for the dusty noisy stuff. Both can be shared by residents.

There are kilometres of walking tracks through 350 acres of schlerophyll ridges and rainforest gullies, with State Forest and a National Park along the borders. Birds, frogs and orchids abound, or they did before the bushfires: one day they will again.

Artists, scientists, thinkers and makers are invited to apply for a residency of 1 to 3 weeks. Children are welcome. There are two self-contained cabins, and a minimal cost allows us to keep the place running.

Read all the information below to make sure it’s right for you. Then send us an email and we’ll go from there.
