The One Off Makery workshop is located on a remote bush property in Pappinbarra, NSW, and runs on solar power and rain water. It has facilities for sewing, painting, sculpting, metalwork, woodwork and other construction, and a large collection of salvaged and natural materials to draw from.
There are kilometres of walking tracks through 350 acres of schlerophyll ridges and rainforest gullies, with State Forest and a National Park along the borders. Birds, frogs and orchids abound.
Artists and scientists including visual artists, writers, musicians, performers, biologists and ecologists are invited to apply for a residency of 1 to 3 weeks, between February and July 2019. Children are welcome. There are two self-contained cabins, and a minimal cost allows us to keep the place running.
