The Frugal Forest is an immersive, intricately detailed forest installation made entirely from stuff that was headed for the dump. Why? Because nothing is wasted in the forest, and we could really learn from that. Begun in 2013, the award-winning project involved over 1200 participants including artists, scientists, musicians, schools and community. After a tour of NSW a small part of the Forest has come to rest in the Port Macquarie Library.
